Shaker Schools To Begin Year With Online Education Only

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Following recommendations from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the Shaker Heights Schools will begin the year remotely on Aug. 31.

All in-person athletic practices, events and conditioning are suspended immediately, the district announced.

“These decisions are being made in accordance with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s recommendation that all public schools within its health jurisdiction begin the school year remotely and that schools discontinue extracurriculars such as sports and other activities during the remote learning period,” the district said in a letter to families.

Howard County high school students worry about what’s lost in online schooling
