Teen Hunters Can Now Take Education Requirements Online

ACROSS WISCONSIN— Students of all ages can earn their Wisconsin hunter education safety certification through a single, online-only hunter education course under a temporary change approved by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

The temporary change allows those under age 18 to take the online-only course from Oct.15 through Dec. 31, 2020, according to a media release from the DNR.

Those interested in taking the online-only course who are over 18 years of age may continue to do so.

Shaker Schools To Begin Year With Online Education Only

SHAKER HEIGHTS, OH — Following recommendations from the Cuyahoga County Board of Health, the Shaker Heights Schools will begin the year remotely on Aug. 31.

All in-person athletic practices, events and conditioning are suspended immediately, the district announced.

“These decisions are being made in accordance with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health’s recommendation that all public schools within its health jurisdiction begin the school year remotely and that schools discontinue extracurriculars such as sports and other activities during the remote learning period,” the district said in a letter to families.
